Christina Yu joined TRS, LLC in 2008. Ms. Yu has extensive experience in civil litigation. Since 1996, she has successfully handled both jury and court trials, and has a broad and practical breadth of experience that covers real property, business litigation and general civil litigation matters.
Ms. Yu specializes in prosecuting and defending civil actions on behalf of title companies, escrow companies, lending institutions and individuals in the areas of title, escrow, real property and coverage disputes. Most recently, she was a member of the litigation department and a Vice President and Associate Counsel of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, a Fortune 300 company traded on the New York Stock Exchange. At Fidelity, Ms. Yu litigated upwards of 30 to 40 cases at a time involving title, escrow, real property, contract, validity of instruments, foreclosures, trust, estates and bad faith issue and related tort actions where she successfully resolved and tried cases on behalf of the title companies and their insureds.
Just prior to joining Fidelity, Ms. Yu was with the firm of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP where she handled cases in the areas of real property, insurance bad faith and general civil litigation from inception to conclusion, and specialized in early dispositive motions. Previously, she was with the firms of Stoll, Nussbaum & Polakov and Campion, Rodolff & Van Riper, LLP where she was responsible for all aspects of a variety of civil actions and first gained her widespread experience in discovery, law and motion and tried civil jury cases.
Ms. Yu received her juris doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1995, and began her legal career trying criminal misdemeanor cases for the City of Los Angeles as a volunteer Criminal Trials attorney. Ms. Yu obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in English from UCLA where she was also a Co-President and Vice President of the UCLA Chinese Student Association.
